We couldn't do it without them
My name is Rafael Mauri Barberá, I started my career as a veterinarian in the primary care sector after graduating from the University of Murcia in 2003.
In 2008 I moved to the UK where I spent 11 years in clinical practice with a special focus and interest in diagnostic imaging and cardiology, working in these areas with both in-house and referred cases.
During this period I managed to complete the Certificate in Advance Veterinary Practice (Veterinary Cardiology) from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.
Since returning in 2019 I have been providing a cardiology, abdominal ultrasound and radiographic interpretation service to a number of clinics in the province of Alicante.
My name is Vanessa Vila.
I have always wanted to be a veterinarian. I have loved animals since I was a child (paternal inheritance). It was very difficult for me to achieve it, so much so that before studying veterinary medicine, I studied the Degree in Biology and subsequently the Bachelor of Food Science and Technology (plus some nursing courses along the way).
I worked in research at a hospital in Valencia (Dr. Peset) and at the Faculty of Pharmacy (Department of Public Health), while I got my degree. VETERINARY DEGREE AT THE FACULTY OF ZARAGOZA.
When I finished, I started working as a conventional vet, but it was thanks to my animals that I got to know other ways of treating (I had never felt comfortable working only with allopathy). Their illnesses and my interest in learning about other ways of treating them led me to become the integrative veterinarian I am today.
Initially, I made the POSTGRADUATE IN ACUPUNCTURE AT THE UNIVERSITY OF ZARAGOZA and the MASTER'S DEGREE IN ACUPUNCTURE BY IVASto help my German Shepherd, Yako, who had a neurological problem,
Subsequently, to treat my cat Phoebe's asthma outside of corticosteroids and bronchodilators, I started my training in Homeopathy, taking courses at the SEHV, the University of Cordoba and finally the MASTER'S DEGREE IN HOMEOPATHY OF THE AMHB AND UNIVERSITY OF BARCELONA.
I have always been passionate about nutrition and food (I have worked as a teacher in human nutrition, diet elaboration, quality control and food laboratory, etc.). I have always tried to find the best and, above all, the most natural food for my animals. I have been trained in Veterinary functional nutrition, Chinese diet therapy and natural food.
