Skin and ear problems can have different causes and sometimes look very similar. Providing information about the progression of symptoms, diet and previous treatments helps the veterinary team to better focus their assessment of the case.

Try to remember:
When did the itching, hair loss, sores or ear infection first appear?
Whether the problem persists all year round or gets worse at certain times of the year.
Which parts of the body does it scratch, lick or bite most frequently?

If other pets or people in the household have any injuries or are suffering from itching.

Before your appointment, please ask us whether you should avoid bathing, using shampoo or cleaning your ears. These practices may temporarily alter the surface of the skin, the ear canal or the samples taken during the examination.
