Archie came to Benivet for a second opinion, concerned about a skin nodule that had been growing over the last few months. On touch, the nodule was firm and consistent, so we decided to proceed with a fine needle aspiration and cytology. After examination under the microscope, we confirmed the diagnosis: a sarcoma, a malignant tumour. To treat it, Archie underwent a total excision of the tumour. Due to the size of the neoplasm, there was not enough skin to close the defect, so we performed a superficial brachial axial flap, a highly effective procedure that draws from a direct artery, with a success rate between 70 and 90%.
